About Total Biz Review
Before you read anything else on this site, you should know who publishes it and how it is funded.
Who publishes this site
Total Biz Review is published by Osborn Online, a UK web design and SEO business. It is written and maintained by one person, not a newsroom. There is no editorial board, no panel of reviewers and no team of journalists.
Most of the businesses featured here are Osborn Online clients. That is a commercial relationship, and it is disclosed at the top of every article where it applies. One article on this site reviews Osborn Online itself, which is disclosed on that page too.
Links to a featured business's own website carry the rel="sponsored" attribute, which tells search engines that a commercial relationship exists and that the link should not be treated as an editorial endorsement.
How businesses are chosen
Businesses are covered because they are clients, or because they operate in a sector and location already covered on this site. They are not chosen through a competitive process, and no business is ranked against a field of competitors unless the article says so explicitly and names them.
Nobody pays a separate fee to appear on Total Biz Review. That does not make the coverage independent, because the underlying commercial relationship still exists.
What the reviews are based on
Each article draws on the business's own published information, publicly visible customer reviews, and direct contact with the owner. Where a fact cannot be verified, it is left out.
These are not undercover assessments. No treatment has been booked anonymously, no job has been commissioned and no service has been secretly tested. Where an article describes a client experience, it is describing what the business says it offers or what published reviews report, not a visit made by this site.
Ratings
Where a rating appears on an article, it reflects an overall editorial judgement of the business against others in its sector. It is not an average of customer scores and it is not collected from readers. Given the commercial relationship described above, treat the ratings as a summary of the article rather than an independent measure.
Corrections
If something on this site is wrong, out of date or unfair, it will be corrected. That applies to businesses covered here and to readers who have had a different experience from the one described. Get in touch via the contact page.
Why the site exists
Two reasons, stated plainly. It gives Osborn Online clients coverage in search results for the terms their own websites do not target. And it is a working example of the kind of content and search work Osborn Online does for its clients.
Being open about that is more useful to you than claiming an independence this site does not have.
